Thought:
There is something freeing about swimming and at the same time suffocating. As I was doing the kicking on my back, I had my eyes open and I could see the water coming over my face. It was beautiful and scary at the same time. To keep my head out of the water, I extended my body, squeezed my head (right behind my ears) between my outstretched arms.
