My BODY changesd Mommy's body changed while carrying you in my belly; My 6pack turned to jello and my hips could have used the CAUTION WIDE LOAD sign from your dump trucks. And my pain threshold went sky high with the 26 hour labor were I had to fight dragons, zombie armies, enemy missiles, and secret villans to set your free. I've become more flexible, not literally, (my yogi friends would be embaressed to claim me), but emotionally and mentally. I'm ready to shift or adjust activities as quickly as you are able to make a mess with a cup and crackers in the living room (unattended).
"The stretch marks are warrior marks that remind us that we have stretched beyond our physical limits (in so many ways) in order to bring a precious life into this world. Only God know how many stretch marks our hearts now have. Motherhood and Running have common lessons to teach us...PATIENCE and LOVE will get you through it all...STEP BY STEP! I hope that today you embrace the "YOU" that you are looking at in the mirror...I know I will be working on doing the same. Next time you find yourself asking: "What happened to my belly?" I expect your answer to be something along the lines of: NOTHING SHORT OF A MIRACLE! "
My MIND changed. I learned how to make to a magic potions that only I could make to help you grow strong (milk) and along the way learned that the stronger I was, the better quality snacks and life I could pass on to you! (Happy momma=Happy baby). I can pull all-nighters that don't involve dancing till you drop but fevers and colic's, night-terrors, and wet beds...and then still get up the next day and do it all again, because MIND OVER MATTER is the name of the game. Mommies don't have time cry over spilled milk (even though sometimes we really want to) .
I don't train to WIN titles, because I've already set my LIFE's PR when I brought you into this world. I train to add mental strength to my resume and tag on years to my life so I can see you grow up and maybe even your babies one day. I do it because I have set goals, and know that the only way to get to them is by working at them everyday. I want to show you the definition of dedication. I want you to see that no matter how hard things seem, we can never give up...we have to push through, catch a second wind, and FINISH STRONG.
